The barcode editor allows all aspects of the barcode to be set or modified

In our example we are using a fixed barcode (ie. the same on every label - we get to databases later) and the data is just entered into the box alongside the Fixed code radio button.

To change the type of barcode, select the Barcode tab at the top of the dialog.
