Barcode Reporter

Barcode Reporter is designed to test and verify a barcode once printed on your package, carton, label or tag and to warn you of any potential problems before the goods are shipped to your customers.

Barcode Reporter takes a high resolution image scanned from a flatbed scanner and, using an emulated aperture, analyses the bars and spaces to report on the barcode's quality and structure. Barcode Reporter is suitable for GS1-13, GS1-8, GS1-128, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 39, Code 93, Code 128, Codabar, and Interleaved 2 of 5 symbols only.

The report details the X dimension, gain, structure and check characters and, for GS1 symbols, warns if the detected values are outside recommended ranges. It also indicates the presence of control characters in Code 128 and GS1-128 symbols.

The report also details the width of each bar and space in the image and compares the measured values with what they should be.
