2D Barcode Font Kits for Mac OS

The following 2D Barcode font kits are available for Mac OS:

• Aztec Font Kit for Mac OS-X: for Aztec barcodes
• DataMatrix Font Kit for Mac OS-X: for Square and Rectangular Datamatrix barcodes
• PDF417 Font Kit for Mac OS-X: for PDF417 and MicroPDF417 barcodes
• QR Code Font Kit for Mac: for QR Codes, supporting Numeric, Alphanumeric and Byte modes.

The static libraries and fonts included in these kits are suitable for any Mac OS-X. However, the sample Cocoa applications and projects, built to be compatible with OS-X 10.1.5 or later, are built using XCode 1.5 running on OS-X 10.3. We are not able to provide support for using the tools on OS older than 10.3.

Each kit includes a static library that converts the supplied data into a string that can be displayed or printed one of the supplied fonts to produce a barcode symbol. The library can also provide a pattern string for developers who wish to draw the bars.

The kit also includes barcode fonts in TrueType, OpenType and PostScript form. Testware versions can be downloaded from the Downloads page.

Library calls allow the available barcode type names, mode names and security levels to be determined, and any error to be encountered in generating the barcode to be reported. See the Help file for details (available from the Home menu above).

Licensing

Each 2D font kit is available only as a developer version which permits royalty-free use of the static library and fonts as part of the developer's own project for up to 10,000 distributions.

System Requirements

Mac OS-X 10.1.5 or later. To compile the samples provided XCode version 1.5 is required, although the libraries and fonts have no dependence on XCode. Current versions are Universal Binaries.
